1. Scope
This Shipping & Transport Policy applies to transport or logistics services coordinated through Kushmahen Agro Tech for agricultural commodities and related consignments. Because the platform primarily handles bulk and route-specific movement, shipping terms can vary by commodity, load, pickup location, destination, vehicle and season.
2. Service coverage
Kushmahen is designed for transport coordination across India, including farm, warehouse and mandi pickup and delivery to buyer, warehouse or other confirmed destination locations, subject to route accessibility, vehicle availability and applicable restrictions.
3. Booking confirmation
An enquiry or route estimate does not by itself create a confirmed transport booking. A booking is confirmed only after the key details—including origin, destination, load type/weight, vehicle, date, freight, applicable charges and payment/advance terms—are accepted or confirmed through the relevant quotation, order or booking record.
4. Pickup, dispatch and delivery timeline
Pickup and delivery timelines are communicated for each confirmed booking. There is no single fixed nationwide delivery period because agricultural freight timelines depend on distance, vehicle type, route conditions, loading readiness, weather, permits, seasonal traffic and destination conditions.
Any website route estimator or displayed transit time is indicative only and should not be treated as a guaranteed delivery deadline.
5. Packaging and loading responsibility
The party responsible for handing over the goods must ensure that packaging, sacks, crates, pallets, sealing or other preparation is suitable for the commodity and the agreed mode of transport unless loading/packing support is expressly included in the booking.
Where loading or unloading labour is separately arranged, related charges and responsibilities should be confirmed before dispatch.
6. Documents and compliance
The shipper, seller or other responsible party must provide accurate invoices, e-way bills, permits, commodity documents, tax documents, weighment records or other legally required paperwork. Delays or penalties caused by missing or inaccurate user-supplied documents may be chargeable to the responsible party.
7. Freight and additional charges
Final freight may include base vehicle charges and, where applicable, tolls, permits, loading/unloading, detention/waiting, route diversion, additional pickup/drop points, return-trip charges, taxes or special handling. Material charges should be disclosed in the quotation or communicated when they arise due to a change in the requested service.
8. Shipment communication and proof of delivery
For confirmed shipments, Kushmahen may coordinate pickup status, in-transit updates and delivery confirmation using driver/transport partner communication, documents or other operational records. Proof of delivery may include a signed receipt, delivery acknowledgement, photo, electronic confirmation or other reasonable evidence depending on the shipment.
9. Delivery inspection and shortages
The receiving party should inspect the consignment as soon as reasonably possible and record visible damage, shortage or discrepancy at delivery where practical. Claims should be supported with relevant photographs, weighment records, delivery documents or other evidence.
10. Delays and force majeure
Delivery may be affected by road closures, weather, floods, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, strikes, government restrictions, border/check-post conditions, seasonal congestion or other events outside reasonable control. Kushmahen will use reasonable efforts to coordinate updates and alternatives but cannot guarantee avoidance of all such delays.
11. Risk, damage and insurance
Responsibility for loss or damage depends on the confirmed transport arrangement, applicable law, carrier terms, declared goods information and insurance (if any). Cargo insurance is not automatically included unless expressly stated in the confirmed quotation or booking.
12. Transport cancellation
Cancellation charges may apply after a vehicle is assigned, dispatched or reaches the pickup location, or after another non-recoverable cost is incurred. Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the specific booking terms.
13. Shipping support
